I don't know much, but I'm learning.: May 2016

For those of you who have been following me on instagram, you've probably noticed me posting quite a few drawings for the Mori Challenge. It seems like it's been forever since I first started the challenge, but I have finally finished! It's crazy how much I've grown from this, and I'm happy to say that my art has definitely improved. I thought that now, since it's over, I would compile all of the pictures in one place. (And just so you're aware, the first 5 sketches were completed about a year ago, before I took a lengthy break and started again in April.) I hope you enjoy them, and hopefully you'll be inspired to try the Mori Challenge yourself!

Mori challenge, number 9 | Traditional. Little known fact: I have some Cherokee heritage in me! So, since America doesn't get anymore traditional than Native American culture, that's what I decided to use as inspiration. I'm super happy with this piece. It's one of the first pieces that turned out on paper like what I imagined in my head! (P.S. The Cherokee at the bottom is supposed to say forest girl. Hopefully I wrote it correctly.
