Day 11: Plan an ideal "mori meetup"! What activities would you do? Where would you go? Let your imagination run wild!
I've always wanted to go on a mori meetup! But I've never lived anywhere near my mori friends. But in my imagination, the day would go something like this.
First, we would meet together in a small town, or a slower section of the city, on a crisp Fall day. Preferably, somewhere with nature around! Our first stop would be a local cafe with a natural theme, where we would have something warm to drink and maybe a pastry or small lunch.
Next, we would go window shopping and take some pictures. Hopefully, we would find some cute antique or thrift stores, or local artisan shops. Maybe we would buy a few items, but even just exploring would be fun.
Finally, we would end the day with a picnic in the park. We would spread out some blankets, eat some snacks or just talk. Maybe we would play some games together, play some music, and work on our crafts like drawing or knitting. Either way, it would be relaxing!

ooooh! The perfect Mori day: It would start with breakfast on the Overlook Pavilion at The Arboretum at Penn State's botanical gardens on the Friday of the Pumpkin Festival. After breakfast, we would tour the gardens and the Palmer Art Museum, and then take a short hike on the Arboretum's Wildflower Trail to my house for a light lunch. After lunch, we would take a drive through the woods and small villages of the area to Way Fruit Farm for the Harvest Craft Festival. We would peruse the many artisan and craft booths, take a hayride, pick our own apples, and snack of apple cider doughnuts at the farm. As evening fell, we would head back to the botanical gardens to see all the jack-o-lanterns of the Pumpkin Festival lit up and vote on our favorites while drinking hot cocoa. We would end the night with a late dinner at either Todashi or The Deli depending on our mood. Todashi is a traditional Japanese restaurant. The Deli is a true American fusion restaurant, and during the time of the Pumpkin Festival has it's own Festival of Soups and a selection of hot teas to swoon over. Either way, we end at The Deli for dessert in the garden room with the big golden hippo head on the wall over the fireplace. (They win best local dessert every year without fail.)
